Our league starts at the beginning of April and league games are scheduled until the middle of June. Evening games usually begin at 6:30 and run for about 1 hour and 45 minutes. There may also be a few weekend games. The registration form lists the days of the week that each division plays. Our home fields are located at Sentinel High School and Hollyburn Elementary School. Our teams play in a league with the North Vancouver Girls Softball Association, so about half of all league games are played at our home fields and the other half at North Vancouver ball diamonds. To ensure that you receive priority placement on the team you played for last season and in order to get the early Registration Discount, please submit your completed registration form along with your cheque payable to "WVGSA" and post-dated before February 15th, 2009. We encourage you to invite your friends to join the fun and become part of the great team sport of softball, as we are always looking to add new players to our league. An information flyer is available to print and distribute amongst your friends. Finally, WVGSA is operated on 100% volunteer basis. To provide the best possible program for our daughters, it is essential that we receive volunteer support from the parents. Our organization has grown rapidly from 130 players two years ago to over 200 today. We would therefore appreciate additional volunteers to help out in all capacities: Coaching, Managing, Umpiring, Fundraising, Cleanup-Setup Coordinating, etc. If you think you may be interested in helping out in a volunteer capacity, kindly indicate so on your daughter's registration form, or give me (Doug Bentley - President) a call at 604-913-0077 for more information.
